XPL crypto price prediction 2030: Can Plasma adoption outpace token dilution?

XPL is recovering from $0.079, but future unlocks and possible validator inflation will shape its price outlook through 2030.

XPL crypto price prediction 2030: Can Plasma adoption outpace token dilution?

Plasma’s native token, XPL, traded near $0.084 on July 28 after rebounding from support around $0.079 following the distribution of tokens purchased by eligible US public-sale participants.

While the recovery has improved short-term momentum, XPL’s long-term outlook depends less on today’s price action than on whether Plasma can generate enough network demand to absorb future token issuance.

As more tokens enter circulation over the coming years, adoption will need to keep pace if XPL is to appreciate meaningfully by 2030.

Plasma’s adoption continues to grow

Plasma has continued to build activity across its stablecoin-focused network.

According to DeFiLlama, the protocol holds approximately $612.6 million in total value locked alongside around $882.4 million in stablecoin liquidity. The network also processes more than 932,000 daily transactions.

However, growth has been uneven.

Seven-day decentralized exchange volume fell 32.17% to approximately $20.2 million, while daily chain revenue remained modest at around $159.

Token unlocks remain the biggest headwind

Supply growth could become one of the biggest factors influencing XPL over the next several years.

Plasma launched with a maximum supply of 10 billion XPL, of which approximately 2.69 billion currently circulate, according to DeFiLlama.

An undisclosed portion of the one-billion-token public-sale allocation became claimable by eligible US participants on July 28. However, Plasma has not disclosed how many tokens were distributed.

A much larger unlock is scheduled for September 25, when approximately 1.67 billion team and investor tokens are expected to enter circulation under the project’s published tokenomics.

Beyond that, the ecosystem allocation releases roughly 88.89 million XPL each month through September 2028, while validator rewards could further increase the total supply if inflation begins before 2030.

Technical recovery remains incomplete

From a technical perspective, XPL continues to trade within a broader downtrend.

Successive highs have fallen from approximately $0.11 to $0.095, before declining again toward $0.086.

The rebound from $0.079 was accompanied by stronger trading volume. At the same time, the four-hour Relative Strength Index [RSI] recovered to 52.21, placing momentum slightly above neutral.

Even so, buyers still need to reclaim the $0.085-$0.086 resistance zone before the recovery can be considered more convincing.

Above that, resistance sits near $0.090 and $0.095.

On the downside, losing $0.079 would expose the $0.075 support area.

XPL crypto price prediction for 2030

Any long-term valuation must account for a significantly larger circulating supply than today.

Assuming at least 10 billion XPL are in circulation by 2030—and potentially closer to 12 billion if validator inflation begins—the network will need substantially stronger economic activity to support higher prices.

Under a $250-500 million network valuation, XPL could trade between roughly $0.02 and $0.05.

A $1-3 billion valuation would imply a price range of approximately $0.08-$0.30.

A more optimistic $5-10 billion valuation could support prices between $0.42 and $1.00. Still, that scenario would likely require sustained stablecoin adoption, meaningful staking participation, and significantly higher fee generation than Plasma currently produces.

Final Summary

  • Plasma’s network continues to grow, but future token unlocks remain the largest long-term challenge for XPL holders.
  • Reaching $1 by 2030 would require adoption, staking activity and fee generation to expand quickly enough to offset the impact of a growing token supply.
