The crypto industry has seen a massive influx of attackers using different techniques to scam investors, exchanges, wallet addresses, and a lot more. And often ZachXBT, a pseudonymous American blockchain investigator, has uncovered many frauds in the hunt for the illegal actors.

And the core issue here is the cooperation between independent blockchain investigators and law enforcement. So, if authorities do not respond to his evidence or victims cannot get an investigation started, his investigation is baseless.

This has happened before, when he provided information in Canada and India but was unable to persuade authorities to take action.

In this list, India is particularly significant because ZachXBT claims to have interacted with Indian law enforcement on cases involving frozen cryptocurrency and funds allegedly connected to the Lazarus Group.

He also alleged that authorities made mistakes in some investigations, including confusing a phishing website with a legitimate cryptocurrency platform.

Hence, with the new website, a jurisdiction-based filtering system would be created, where a victim’s location could influence whether ZachXBT accepts their case.

Simply put, the goal is to simply focus his limited resources on countries where authorities are more likely to act on blockchain evidence and help freeze or recover stolen funds. While supporters say this could make his investigations more effective.
