PONS sees $2.78M Cumberland buy – Why THIS zone is crucial

Cumberland accumulation and persistent exchange outflows strengthen PONS demand as price tests crucial support.

PONS drew institutional demand as a Cumberland-linked wallet accumulated 3.5 million PONS, worth around $2.78 million as persistent exchange outflows tightened available supply.

According to Lookonchain, the wallet withdrew those tokens from Gate at an average acquisition price of around $0.80.

These withdrawals shifted a considerable token position away from the exchange while PONS sat below that average price. .

The institutional activity strengthened the demand argument around PONS since the accumulation coincided with broader exchange withdrawals.

However, the prevailing token’s market price remained below the wallet’s average entry, leaving the position exposed to the ongoing pullback.

Hence, the institutional-linked accumulation alone did not confirm an immediate price recovery for PONS, but rather strengthened the nearby technical demand zone.

Persistent PONS outflows tighten the supply picture

The prevailing exchange activity reinforced the accumulation narrative as PONS spot netflow remained firmly negative across the consecutive daily readings.

On September 7, the spot netflow hit -$1.96 million, which implied the outflows exceeded inflows by that amount.

Additionally, the negative reading continued on September 8,with the spot netflow recording -$271,800, according to CoinGlass.

Although the imbalance had narrowed considerably, still, outflows exceeded inflows during the most recent reading.

Therefore, the trend of spot flow maintained a limited exchange-supply backdrop as the Cumberland-linked wallet accumulated separately.

Notably, the combination reduced the immediate exchange supply as PONS price attempted to stabilize after its price correction.

The persistence negative Netflows therefore complemented the wallet activity hence shifting attention toward whether technical support could attract more buyers.

Can the $0.645 demand zone hold?

A look at the daily timeframe chart shows that the price retreated toward the $0.70 level after failing to sustain its earlier advance.

PONS then entered its demand zone, which extended toward the crucial $0.645 support level.

Rather than confirming another price expansion, the price retreat brought a developing bullish pennant structure into a critical test.

Buyers would be therefore needed to preserve this region before the structure could support another attempt toward the overhead liquidity.

Meanwhile, the RSI indicator had cooled to 47.03, placing the signal slightly below neutral territory after the earlier price rally.

Additionally, its moving average remained elevated at 56.07, highlighting the speed of the recent fading in buying strength.

However, a rebound from the demand zone could likely preserve the bullish structure and reopen the $0.922–$0.96 area as the next major zone.

Persistent strength above that region could finally bring the psychological $1.00 level back into focus.

Overhead liquidations could pull PONS higher

The Binance Liquidation Heatmap supported the upside possibility by concentrating the densest leverage liquidity clusters above PONS, rather than below the current price.

Notably, the strongest nearby cluster developed around the $0.76–$0.79 zone, creating a clear overhead liquidity concentration.

This positioning matter since PONS market price traded around the $0.70 level, placing the cluster within reach of a renewed price recovery.

A stronger price reversal could push the token toward those levels as leveraged positions faces increased liquidation pressure.

Beyond that area, the heatmap also highlighted additional liquidity bands extending toward the  $0.85 zone.

Ultimately, in case buyers reclaim the nearby liquidation cluster, the technical path toward the $0.922 price level could strengthen considerably.

However, failure below the $0.645 level would invalidate the demand defense and weaken the bullish pennant flag scenario.

Final Summary

  • Cumberland accumulation and persistent PONS outflows have strengthened the tightening exchange supply outlook.
  • The dense liquidation liquidity above PONS could strengthen the upside case if buying pressure returns.
