Dogecoin price enters accumulation zone – Is DOGE nearing a rebound?
DOGE could rebound toward $0.08683 if buyers defend $0.0800 despite persistent selling pressure.
Dogecoin [DOGE] has entered a potential favorable accumulation zone after its 365-day MVRV ratio declined to 0.74, at press time, suggesting considerable unrealized losses among holders. As per Santiment, recent DOGE investors held assets worth roughly 26% less than the average acquisition cost.
The depressed MVRV levels have historically offered more supportive accumulation conditions compared to periods of substantial unrealized profits. Interestingly, Dogecoin stood out among major crypto assets, with its MVRV falling substantially below the neutral range.
However, the metric was yet to offer a confirmation of an immediate price rebound, especially as the memecoin continued struggling around $0.0800.

Dogecoin derivatives surge as bulls take positions
Even with DOGE’s recent weakness, the derivatives activity, on the other hand, expanded significantly as traders increased their exposure.
Notably, DOGE’s trading volume climbed 35.81% to $917.30 million, while its Open Interest (OI) moderately surged 2.86% to $1.22 billion, at reporting time. The overall 24-hour Long/Short Ratio meanwhile reached 1.0309, reflecting relatively balanced market positioning.
Exchange-specific figures, however, revealed stronger bullish positioning among the market participants. To be specific, Binance’s account-based Long/Short Ratio stood at 2.5881, while OKX registered a higher reading of 3.21. Additionally, Binance’s top trader account ratio was at 3.5167, while their position-based ratio stood at 3.0247 at reporting time.
These figures therefore implied a substantial long exposure among the leading traders, despite DOGE being unable to establish a convincing price recovery. It is also worth noting that the rising OI increased the market’s exposure to a potential liquidation-driven volatility.

Spot overheating raises concerns over DOGE’s recovery
While the derivatives participants favored a bullish bias, DOGE’s spot market presented a less encouraging outlook. In particular, the Spot Volume Bubble Map flashed overheating conditions, which suggested unusually elevated trading activity.
The increased activity however did not necessarily imply stronger demand, especially given the prevailing selling conditions. In fact, the Spot Taker CVD remained seller-dominant, highlighting persistent aggressive selling across the observed period.
These conditions highlighted a notable divergence between bullish derivatives positioning and the spot trading behavior. Even though DOGE’s depressed MVRV suggested favorable accumulation conditions, the spot sellers on the contrary, continued challenging its recovery attempts.
The overheated trading activity alongside the persistent taker selling raised concerns about the sustainability of any near-term price recovery.

Is DOGE approaching a bullish reversal?
Dogecoin’s daily chart structure highlighted a prolonged bearish trend, with successive lower highs pushing the price toward the critical $0.0800 support region.
Following its correction from the September highs at $0.1000 region, DOGE struggled to establish a meaningful rebound. Even though the recent candles implied an ongoing stabilization.
Notably, the MACD histogram showed signs of shrinking at -0.00051, implying that the bearish pressure was gradually weakening. The MACD line, however, remained below its signal line, indicating that the bears were still in control.
Despite the broader technical weakness, the memecoin held above its key support, keeping the possibility of a short-term price rebound alive.
However, a decisive breakdown below the $0.0800 support would invalidate the immediate recovery outlook and in turn increase the risk of further declines.

Final Summary
- DOGE’s MVRV dropped to 0.74, highlighting potential accumulation opportunities despite continued price weakness.
- DOGE defended $0.0800 as bearish pressure eased, but spot sellers continued limiting recovery prospects.
