Solana’s Alpenglow upgrade goes live – Why SOL’s $100 support matters

Solana's Alpenglow upgrade reportedly cuts processing times to 150 milliseconds as SOL recovers from last week's correction with $585,000 in ETF inflows and renewed whale activity.

Can Alpenglow Upgrade Provide the Required Spark to Push Solana Price Higher?

Solana [SOL] is recovering after last week’s correction, with buyers defending the $95-$100 demand zone as a major network upgrade draws attention.

According to recent reports, Solana announced that Alpenglow is now live on the Solana mainnet, cutting network processing times from approximately 12.8 seconds to just 150 milliseconds.

The upgrade arrives as institutional demand shows signs of improvement. Notably, Solana ETFs recorded significant net inflows over the past 24 hours, suggesting renewed investor interest.

So, can Alpenglow provide the spark required to extend SOL’s recovery?

ETF inflows and whale activity support its current recovery

Just hours after the announcements, the network reported $585,000 in daily SOL ETF inflows. This points to a positive institutional flow, as big players projected increased efficiency on the network after the upgrades.

Moreover, the network whales are aligning with the network’s institutional players. According to the recent Futures Average Order Size data, Solana whales are bagging more orders at the current trading price.

Besides the positive ETF inflows, the network’s Spot Volume Bubble Map data is flashing overheating signals. The spike points to current increased trading activity across the Spot markets. To be specific, the network trading volume spiked by 6% to $2.27 billion.

However, it is key for the prospective investors to note that if buying becomes crowded or larger holders begin taking profits, SOL could face renewed volatility despite the positive developments.

Can SOL sustain its long-term uptrend?

Alpenglow upgrades could provide a potential fundamental spark, while ETF inflows and the rebound from the key demand zone between $95 and $100 offer additional support for the recovery.

To strengthen the bullish outlook, SOL must maintain buying pressure and demand rather than reacting quickly to the upgrade. Holding above the demand zone between $95 and $100 would help preserve the recovery structure, while overheating signals warrant caution.

The upgrade strengthens Solana‘s long-term trend, but sustained adoption and market demand will determine whether that translates into a lasting SOL rally.
