BNB’s 37th quarterly burn removes 1.64M tokens – Move toward $800 needs…

Each burn permanently reduces BNB supply. How much of that scarcity have traders already priced in?

BNB Chain completed another quarterly token burn, continuing its push to reduce BNB’s supply toward a long-term target of 100 million.

The latest burn removed nearly $1.2 billion worth of tokens. Even so, BNB’s modest price recovery left sellers with the momentum advantage.

How much BNB did the latest burn remove?

According to BNB Chain, the 37th quarterly burn removed 1.64 million BNB worth approximately $1.197 billion.

The burn took place directly on BNB Smart Chain (BSC), advancing the project’s long-term supply reduction plan.

BNBburn estimated that the 38th quarterly burn would remove another 1,515,994 BNB, worth approximately $1.13 billion. That remained a projection. Cumulative burns reached 69.4 million BNB, according to the tracker.

Burns permanently remove tokens from supply, increasing scarcity. However, the price response still depends on demand and how much selling the market must absorb.

For BNB, the immediate test was whether buyers would follow the supply reduction with stronger purchases.

Did BNB demand strengthen after the burn?

BNB rebounded from $721 to $732 before retracing to $729 at press time. The recovery coincided with negative Spot Netflows, although these flows alone could not establish buying in response to the burn.

Over the previous 24 hours, BNB’s Spot Netflow fell to -$19.8 million, a level last reached in June. That extended a week of largely negative Netflows, with outflows exceeding inflows on tracked exchanges.

Such withdrawals could reduce the BNB available for immediate trading. They did not, by themselves, confirm fresh purchases or explain investors’ motives.

Still, the combination of exchange outflows and a price rebound offered buyers some encouragement. Momentum presented a tougher test.

Can BNB buyers overcome bearish momentum?

Despite the rebound, BNB’s MACD fell deeper into negative territory, reaching -7.56. The negative, declining reading suggested that bearish momentum remained dominant, leaving the recovery vulnerable to renewed selling.

If buying failed to strengthen, the token could fall below $720, bringing the $717 support level into focus. Conversely, stronger demand could help BNB reclaim $758 and potentially target a move above $800.

The burn reduced supply permanently. Buyers still needed to show they could sustain a recovery beyond the initial bounce.

Final Summary

  • BNB Chain’s 37th quarterly burn removed 1.64 million BNB worth approximately $1.197 billion.
  • The altcoin rebounded to $732 before easing to $729, while negative MACD readings kept the recovery under pressure.
