In a recent tweet, Charles Hoskinson, the CEO of IOHK and Creator of Cardano, has given a hint of an update regarding his new and upcoming Cardano wallet.

The CEO has stated that Cardano 1.4, which is the Foundation for the new wallet’s backend will be released sometime between Q3 and Q4. The tweet read:

“To manage expectations, our best estimate is that ledger support will ship with Cardano 1.4. We don’t have an exact date for this release, but it will be late Q3 to the first half of Q4 of this year”

In a second tweet regarding the same, Hoskinson has also made clear the purpose of Cardano 1.4 [the subject of the tweets], to cater to his followers’ curiosity. He said:

“Cardano 1.4 is a full implementation of the new Cardano Wallet Backend alongside dozens of other housekeeping items … it’s the foundation for our unified wallet backend for both mobile and full clients”

A week ago, Cardano released its own wallet called Daedalus 0.10.1, which can now be found under the application menu on the website.

ADA, IOHK’s native token, is currently standing at the 8th position in crypto-market rankings. At the time of writing, ADA is trading at $0.141 with a market cap of $3.6 billion. In the last 24 hours, ADA has seen a rise of 1.76% in its price, at a trading volume close to $114 million.

Tarek Jawad, a crypto follower wrote:

“I love this project and the raw honesty and no BS attached to it. Attention to detail when building from the ground up will make the foundation extremely strong for overall support and success of Cardano in the long run”

Another crypto-fan enquired:

“Thanks Charles, when is staking? Around the same time?”

Harry Pray IV, in an appreciation comment, wrote:

“I’ve got an empty ledger in a safe, awaiting the arrival of my ADA. Thanks for your transparency and the cold staking stuff which makes this option AMAZING.”
