Amidst uncertainty about the future of Cardano [ADA] and its leadership, a reassuring voice has emerged. Charles Hoskinson, the visionary behind Cardano and the CEO of IOHK, has stepped forward to dispel rumors of his departure from the blockchain platform.

Addressing concerns raised on X (earlier Twitter), Hoskinson reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to Cardano, firmly putting to rest any doubts about his commitment.

Remarking on the same, he commented,

“The answer is no. The hundreds of IOG engineers and scientists working on Cardano every day confirm that.”

This statement clarified the speculation surrounding Midnight, a novel blockchain from IOG focused on data protection.

Will Midnight shift Cardano’s destiny?

Midnight was launched with the mission to secure commercial and personal data, ensuring freedom for developers, companies, and individuals.

Some people thought that IOHK might focus less on Cardano because of Midnight’s big plan. The reason behind this is Midnight’s aims to help developers create and run decentralized apps (dApps) with strong data protection.

However, Hoskinson’s engagement with Midnight doesn’t signal a retreat from Cardano.

This was emphasized by Hoskinson himself in his response to an X user,

“Cardano is an open platform that seeks to provide economic identity to the billions who lack it by providing decentralized applications to manage identity, value, and governance.”
