BNB technical analysis: Bears emerge post ATH 

BNB's weekly chart reveals a complex pattern of price movements. While Binance Coin’s price prediction for 2024 appears optimistic, its sustainability needs further analysis.

Initially, the price faced a strong rejection at $305, leading it to depreciate to $234. BNB bulls struggled to defend this support until mid-August. However, increased selling pressure pushed the price to its lowest floor at $209. 

This level halted further declines and set the stage for a subsequent rally in mid-October. In November, the price reclaimed $234. After a temporary breach of this support towards the end of the month, the price resumed its upward trajectory by mid-December.

In a turnaround, the latter half of December saw BNB's price ascend slightly above $305. Despite setbacks, the momentum strengthened in February as the price sustained a strong uptrend. Even with the overbought market, the asset surpassed most expectations, exceeding the psychological $500 mark by March. 

Simultaneously, BNB reached $607. This level was tested repeatedly from mid-March, marking a consolidation phase. Even as the broader market crashed in April, BNB did not shed much of its gains, maintaining a relatively stable momentum between this level and the support at $565. 

The tides shifted in bullish favor as a June breakout propelled the coin over the upper limit of the range. BNB had a remarkable week as it continued to make new highs. AMBCrypto reported that the coin peaked at an all-time high of over $720 on June 6.

Nonetheless, investors started taking profits. On the daily chart, BNB faced stiff resistance at $712 as an uptick in selling pulled the price down. This drop also reflected the market’s efforts to maintain equilibrium after an overbuying spree.

The correction remained in full swing at press time as BNB exchanged hands at $614. The asset is now set for a volatile time ahead. If the momentum holds and the broader market remains bullish, the bulls will likely push past the peak chart resistance of $675 to reclaim the critical $700 mark.

However, if the declines persist, compromising the current support, it would adversely affect the future trajectory. Increasing selling pressure would precipitate a potential movement toward the $565-$500 region.

Our predictive models are rather optimistic about BNB's prospects. Looking ahead to 2028, the models anticipate the asset to average around $1,200. Continuing its upward trajectory, BNB is expected to trade at an average price of over $8,000 in 2035.

BNB's 2024 roadmap: Key indicators to watch and trade

• BNB's trading volume continued to decline with the dropping prices. As the price began to recover in October, the volume mirrored this trajectory. Although it dipped slightly towards the end of January, the volume increased again the next month. 
• Following this, the volume remained low, coinciding with the price’s consolidation. Even as the coin attained its ATH, the volume remained unaffected. This indicated cautious investor participation.
• An in-depth look at the Directional Movement Index (DMI) revealed that the -DI line was atop in June. Meanwhile, the ADX line moved over the +DI line in mid-month. The DI and ADX lines descended from early October while the +DI rose. Towards the end of the month, the +DI line regained its position above the -DI line, and the ADX also moved above the latter in November. 
• Between late January and mid-February, the ADX rose above the +DI, a trend that recurred in mid-March. At the time of writing, the indicator values were ADX at 51.9575, +DI at 35.5390, and -DI at 10.2819. This highlighted a strong bullish trend.
• After acting as price barriers, 20 and 50 Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) were flipped in late 2023, with the former turning into support in November and the latter in late December.
• Following this, a golden cross was formed in late January. Since then, both the EMAs have trended upwards, validating the uptrend.
