The market showed signs of recovery in mid-June, driving the price to test $5.5 by month’s end. Despite this effort, this level proved to be a formidable barrier. This led to a rejection, which eventually saw the price fall to its lowest support within the analyzed timeframe, at $3.9 in mid-September.
 

The bulls rallied with the broader market after a brief dip below this level in October. Moreover, the resurgence in buying pressure culminated in a remarkable price pump by December, allowing DOT to breach previous resistance levels for the first time in months.

According to AMBCrypto’s recent report, DOT’s social volume steadily declined over the past two months, coinciding with persistent price decreases. However, the derivatives data instilled hope in the buyers. Firstly, trading volume dramatically increased, suggesting a surge in trader interest or speculative activity. Additionally, liquidity appeared to have slowed down over the past week.

Meanwhile, AMBCrypto's analysis of Hyblock’s data identified a concentration of liquidity between $7.5 and $7.7. This magnetic zone could attract the price. If DOT reaches $7.7 and buying pressure increases, the price might continue to rise.
 

This northbound movement can take it as high as $20 within the year. However, the anticipated encounter with formidable resistance around $16.5 presents a critical test for this optimistic scenario.

Notwithstanding, if the liquidation levels identified align with the sell side of the order book, the price might continue to drop. • The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and its signal line initially remained below the zero line, fluctuating across each other. The MACD line moved above the signal line from late June to mid-August and decisively in late October.
• As the asset's value appreciated, the MACD line crossed over zero in December, with the signal line following by mid-month. After a constant ascent, the MACD line finally began to plunge in late March. Moreover, it formed a bearish crossover in the following month. 
• At the time of writing, the MACD line had turned negative at -0.020, with the signal line at 0.258 and the histogram at -0.278. This positioning further validated the downtrend.
• The Bollinger Bands started close with the price below the 20-week Moving Average (MA). As the bulls flipped 20 MA into support, the bands started expanding. 
• This was amplified as the price frequently crossed the upper band in December and late February through mid-March, signaling overvaluation. As the selling pressure increased, the price candles dropped below the MA in early April, where they remained till the end of the analysis.
