DASH, on June 29th, announced the release of the DASH version 12.3 which will further revamp InstantSend. InstantSend allows one to send DASH instantly to another peer. According to Bob Caroll, a member of the DASH Core team, the upgrade is complete, tested, and ready for release.
The DASH version 12.3 will be accessible after the next superblock which will take place around 13:00 UTC on July 3rd, 2018. He further added that all the masternode operators, exchanges, pools, and explorers should update to the new version since it is a requisite in order to continuously receive rewards. The update will require a restart for the masternode operators.
DASH is an open source peer-to-peer cryptocurrency and a decentralized autonomous organization attributing instant transactions, private transactions, and a self-funded, self-governed organizational structure.
To warrant the creation of multiple self-governing devnets, the new version will include a new devnets feature. It will also lessen the number of inputs delegated to each wallet, enhance user privacy by abolishing the amalgamation of small non-private inputs and reduce the UTXO set size.
