‘It’s now or never,’ Senator Cynthia Lummis presses to pass CLARITY Act

The optimism around the CLARITY Act is now supported by execs and Polymarket odds.

The CLARITY Act passage looks strong

The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act) of 2025, introduced in May 2025, continues to face a lot of undercurrents, causing the deadline to increase day by day.

Yet, despite the back and forth between the Senate, the crypto community, and the banking community, Senator Cynthia Lummis underlined her push for the bill.

Taking to X, Lummis said

It’s time Congress passes the Clarity Act. It’s now or never.

Well, this isn’t the first time Lummis has shown her optimism for the bill – on the 10th of April, she had noted,

Needless to say, such kind of optimism suggests how the CLARITY Act will remove the regulatory gray zone to and bring in something which is more structured.

Why is the CLARITY Act important?

For those unaware, the GENIUS Act, passed in June 2025, was the start of the clear regulatory framework in the crypto market, whereas the CLARITY Act is the finish line.

Thus, for true transformation in the digital assets space in the U.S., it becomes important to pass the CLARITY Act.

Remarking on the same, one of the industry participants, Chad Steingraber, argued,

The promise of Genius can’t be realized without Clarity’s support.

Explaining his stance, Steingraber explained that, after regulatory stability around stablecoins, ‘tokenized assets, decentralized exchanges, and new means of capital formation,’ also need reformation.

In fact, recently, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong also accepted US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s recent argument on the CLARITY Act and urged Congress to pass the bill as fast as possible.

Polymarket odds and more

At the same time, the Polymarket odds for the passage of the CLARITY Act 2026 were sitting at 65% alluding that the bettors are also optimistic about the passage.

This comes on the heels of the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act (BRCA) bill, which just got the green light to be included in the CLARITY Act.

Though there were speculations that this bill would compromise the advancement of the Act. Senator Lummis denied these FUD and put it best when she noted,

The BRCA is not on the chopping block– I think I would know, since this is my bill with Ron Wyden.

Final Summary

  • The passage of the CLARITY Act of 2025 looks positive, with even bettors on Polymarket betting more on ‘YES’.
  • Despite backing off from the passage, Coinbase is back again to support the bill.
