Meta rolls out USDC payouts for creators on Solana and Polygon

Meta is introducing USDC payouts for creators in select regions, using Solana and Polygon to support faster, lower-cost payments.

Meta rolls out USDC payouts for creators on Solana and Polygon

Meta Platforms has begun rolling out stablecoin payouts, allowing select creators to receive earnings in USDC through supported crypto wallets.

The feature is currently available to creators in Colombia and the Philippines, according to a Business Help Centre update.

Payouts are processed on the Solana and Polygon networks, requiring users to connect wallets that support USDC on either chain.

Payouts run through crypto wallets and on-chain rails

To receive funds, users must set up a compatible crypto wallet and link it to their Meta payout account.

Once connected, earnings are distributed in USDC directly to the wallet address. Creators can then convert the funds into local currency using exchanges or supported payment services.

The process shifts payouts away from traditional banking rails, instead using blockchain networks to settle transactions.

Creator payments drive the rollout

Meta’s rollout focuses on creator payouts, a segment where cross-border payments remain costly and slow.

Stablecoins offer a way to reduce fees and settlement times, particularly for users operating across different countries and currencies.

By targeting creators first, Meta is testing the use of digital assets in a high-volume, globally distributed payment category.

Quiet rollout signals broader payments strategy

The feature launched with limited visibility and regional scope, suggesting a phased rollout.

Rather than a large public announcement, Meta has introduced the feature through documentation updates, indicating a controlled test environment before wider expansion.

The move places Meta among a growing group of companies exploring stablecoins for real-world payments, as blockchain-based settlement gains traction beyond trading use cases.

Final Summary

  • Meta has launched USDC payouts for creators in select regions, using Solana and Polygon to enable on-chain payments.
  • The rollout highlights growing adoption of stablecoins for real-world use, particularly in cross-border creator payments.
