Monerujo is an Open-Source Android Wallet for Monero. It doesn’t download the blockchain but allows users to access it through their own node instead. It also features instant Monero to BTC transactions in the app.

The well-known ‘Privacy’ coin, Monero has been one of the most controversial coins of the previous month, particularly since the fall experienced at the beginning of May. The coin ranks top in the list of controversies, with its unauthorized mining disputation.

Irrespective of the controversy and falls, Monero picked up the pace and updated their system with the fancy tag of ‘Maximum Nacho’. Maximum Nacho is the 1.5.9 upgrade of Monerujo. The coin has updated the system keeping in mind the previous bugs and faults.

Changes from the previous production version

  • monero-core v0.12.2.0
  • Accounts
  • One-time Subaccounts for “Receive”
  • Sweep function [touch the infinity sign when selecting amount]
  • Remove selectable Ringsize => always use default
  • for 32 fiat exchange rates [instead of kraken]
  • Some fingerprint compatibility fixes
  • Portuguese translation

Alex_LocalMonero, a Redditor commented:

“How’s the ledger support coming along on monerujo?”

To which, m2049r another Redditor said:

“well, i have one since last one week. integration doesn’t look simple. will work on it during the summer.”

The system offers private exchanging of cryptocurrency alongside full fungibility of the considerable number of coins available for use.

Recently, the Japanese police had filed charges against the defendants for installing a mining program without consent from the users. The mining program is called as Coinhive. The case was set to proceed to a fully fledged trial at the Yokohama District Court.

Coinhive is a JavaScript miner for the Monero blockchain that can be embedded into a web page. When the page gets a visitor, the miner runs directly on the user’s browser, mining Monero [XMR].

At the time of writing, XMR ranks #14 on CoinMarketCap. The coin has a trading price of $115.45 while its market cap is $1.87 billion. XMR has seen a fall of 5.64% in the past 24 hours and the weekly cap of the coin runs red with 8.95%.
