NEAR rallies 24% after AI utility expands across 43 models – Is rally built to last?
NEAR’s AI growth, whale demand and rising leverage strengthened its 24.52% breakout.
NEAR has emerged as the top-performing AI crypto token, surging 24.52% as activity expanded across the trading markets and its confidential infrastructure.
Reportedly, the confidential TVL recently surpassed $70 million, triggering the network’s first milestone snapshot under its incentive program. Notably, the program allocated 333,333 milestone tokens, reinforcing participation surrounding the Confidential Intents ecosystem.
Accordingly, these tokens are to remain locked until NEAR’s three-day volume-weighted average price reaches at least $3.33.
Importantly, NEAR’s price climbed beyond the program’s $3.33 threshold during the expansion. However, eligibility requires its three-day volume-weighted average price to remain at least $3.33 before unlocking.
Beyond incentives, the protocol’s Confidential Intents supported private execution across more than 30 connected blockchains. Additionally, NEAR had also linked Intents with autonomous-agent infrastructure for asset transfers and cross-chain payments.
Furthermore, the token’s AI utility expanded further through staking-based computing credits covering 43 AI models. Meanwhile, spot volume also surged 131.81% to $1.63 billion, suggesting a broader market participation behind the most recent price increase.
Whale orders deepen spot demand
Large market participants strengthened NEAR’s demand picture as price accelerated. CryptoQuant’s Spot Average Order Size registered Big Whale Orders, indicating larger transactions.
Meanwhile, the 90-day Spot Taker CVD remained Taker Buy Dominant. That reading indicated aggressive buyers controlled executed Spot activity during the rally.
However, whale-sized orders alone did not prove accumulation. The Taker Buy Dominant reading provided stronger evidence that active demand accompanied those trades. This combination gave NEAR’s move firmer Spot-market support.

Leverage builds behind NEAR’s rally
By contrast, NEAR’s derivatives market expanded sharply as traders increased exposure.
Open Interest rose 39.54% to $924.66 million. Derivatives Volume surged 101.79% to $1.85 billion. The expansion could support continuation while buyers defended the breakout.
However, elevated leverage also increased liquidation risk if NEAR reversed sharply.
Crucially, Spot buying and Big Whale Orders accompanied this derivatives expansion. Leverage therefore amplified identifiable demand instead of carrying the rally alone.

Can NEAR price reach $4?
During its price uptrend, NEAR broke decisively above the $2.820 level, extending its recovery beyond a resistance level that previously rejected further price advance.
Price subsequently hit the $3.461level, bringing the higher-timeframe Fair Value Gap (FVG) into immediate focus. Particularly, the imbalance stretched approximately between the $3.65 and $4.20 range, which placed $4.00 inside the target region.
Furthermore, the directional strength had intensified substantially during the breakout with the ADX reaching 55.6278, while +DI at 50.3812 overwhelming -DI at 4.1701.
Also, the Parabolic SAR indicator at $2.297 remained below the prevailing market price, reinforcing the development of bullish technical structure. Therefore, NEAR could extend deeper into the FVG if the bulls maintain control above the $2.820 zone.
Alternatively, rejection from the imbalance could likely send the price toward the breakout zone before another recovery attempt.

Final Summary
- NEAR’s 24.52% surge gained support from whale orders and aggressive spot buying.
- NEAR’s breakout into the higher-timeframe FVG could shift attention toward the $4 region.
