On July 2nd, NEM, a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency, and a blockchain platform released a new wallet called the Raccoon Wallet. It is user-friendly and has a ‘nice user interface’. The creators of the Raccoon wallet focused on a digital wallet that can be used as a “tool” in day-to-day affairs.

This Japanese wallet is multifaceted. Along with the wallet function, Raccoon presents a QR Laboratory and a Mosaic gallery. It came into being using Github, and DISCORD which is a software designed for gaming communities. The mobile wallet is available for both Android and iOS.

Some of the popular NEM wallets are NEM NanoWallet and NEM MobileWallet. NEM NanoWallet is a user-friendly desktop client that makes it convenient to store and manage XEM. It is accordant with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems which permits the users to send XEM, mosaics, and messages to any address.

On June 25th, NEM declared an alliance with Blockfolio, a prominent cryptocurrency portfolio tracker. People following XEM in BlockFolio will be updated regarding news and products and weekly proclamations from NEM Foundation’s interim President, Kristof Van De Rock.

BlockFolio is also integrating a localization feature which will enable the users to receive updates interpreted in the language of whichever region of the world they are in. This was considered as a breakthrough for the NEM community since the majority of the NEM members are from Japan, Philippines, and other Southeast Asian nations.

At the time of writing, NEM [XEM] is trading at $0.18 with a market cap of $1.66 billion. In the past 24 hours, XEM has seen a hike of 11.09%.
