AAVE technical analysis: Bulls contemplate their next move

While artificial intelligence (AI) tokens and memecoins have taken the lead this year, decentralized finance (DeFi) tokens have not been left behind. The Aave price prediction for 2024 sheds light on its past trajectory while paving the way for future potential.

At the outset, the token faced rejection at $83.4. This led to a fall to the lowest support over the analyzed time frame at $50.9 in June. An attempt to breach this resistance in July faced a similar outcome. This was indicative of a strong bearish presence in the market.

Nonetheless, the bullish rally in late 2023 marked a significant shift. This rally established the prior resistance as a support level by the end of October. The subsequent major milestone for the price was the $100 mark. After nearly a month of testing, AAVE surpassed the $100.2 threshold by the end of November. Despite this achievement, the price did not stabilize completely, experiencing frequent dips. 

As December concluded, the price tested and was rebuffed at $118.4. This rejection caused the price to drop below $100.2 again in January. However, the bulls managed to prevent further declines, stabilizing the price at $83.4 by the end of the month.

In February, buying pressure began to build up. The concerted bullish efforts enabled AAVE to not only surpass the $100.2 level by the end of February but also to overcome $118.4 in March.

Apart from the broader optimism in the market, AMBCrypto reported important developments for AAVE coinciding with this February rally. There was a significant surge in network activity as well as a growth in revenue.

Concurrently, a new resistance level was marked at $132.3. This barrier has been tested since the beginning of March, leading to some pushback. Yet, the $118.4 support level has shown resilience. At the time of this writing, the DeFi token was trading at $118.68.

• After declining slightly till June, the On-Balance Volume (OBV) experienced a slight ascent. This was followed by another much stronger ascension in October. 
• From November to January, the indicator stabilized before starting to climb again, reaching 49.91 million at the time of analysis. It reflected that investors were actively accumulating the token.
• The Directional Movement Index (DMI) analysis revealed that the ADX line was initially positioned below both the +DI and -DI lines. The +DI line also fell below the -DI between the end of April and mid-June and again from mid-August to mid-September
• The +DI began to ascend in September, with the ADX line following in October. By December, the ADX line surpassed the +DI line, while the -DI continued to decline.
• At the time of the analysis, the DMI values were reported as follows: ADX at 44.0820, +DI at 27.2171, and -DI at 9.4994. These values further corroborated the presence of a strong bullish trend.
