AMP technical analysis: Will the bulls recover from a pullback?

The AMP price prediction for 2024 reflects on its performance throughout 2023, a pivotal year where the token encountered numerous market challenges yet demonstrated notable resilience.

April 2023 showcased the onset of bearish control, with AMP's value rejecting the $0.0042 threshold. By June, the token's value had plummeted below the $0.0024 mark, indicating a firm bearish grip on the market.

During this period, there were instances where the buyers attempted to regain control, aiming to reverse the downtrend. Despite this, the bears maintained the upper hand. This ensured the price remained suppressed below the $0.0024 level. 

The downward pressure intensified. By mid-October, AMP's valuation had reached a pivotal low point. It touched down at the $0.0014 support level, a price point that was quite close to its historical all-time low (ATL) value of $0.00079 in 2020. This was a critical moment for AMP, as it tested the resolve of the market participants.

However, mid-October saw the beginning of a major trend reversal. A powerful wave of bullish momentum surged through AMP, escalating its prices. By November, the token had reached the $0.0024 resistance level. 

Although this ascent faced a slight pullback, the correction was insufficient to undermine the upward trajectory. AMP's momentum sustained, propelling it to reach the $0.0042 level in early December.

Despite encountering another temporary bearish period at the year's end, the bulls swiftly reasserted their presence in January. This drove the token's value beyond the $0.0042 level by mid-February. 

In a robust display of resilience, a subsequent rally ensued, catapulting AMP's price above the $0.0100 threshold. This eventually reached a peak resistance of $0.0128. The level had not been seen since 2022, marking a remarkable recovery and a new high for the token within the year.

At the time of writing, AMP was trading at $0.0101. This price not only symbolized a comeback from its previous lows but also added a new baseline that may well define AMP's market position for 2024.

Over the past month, AMP has undergone a massive surge in value. The token demonstrated a 105% increase in prices, according to CoinMarketCap, showcasing a brilliant growth trajectory supported by the bulls. 

If this rally continues, AMP can manage to touch the  $0.030 mark, a level that hasn’t been touched since 2022, within the next few weeks. Additionally, if the bullish forces can be sustained, it can even push the price up to the $0.50 mark, a significant milestone for the token.

However, if the bearish forces take over, AMP's price can drop below the $0.0100 mark. Moreover, a sustained bearish rally may result in the value of AMP testing at the $0.0042 mark.

• The Relative Strength Index (RSI) fell below the neutral line in June. A slight spike above the neutral line was observed in August, but it was not sustained. Furthermore, a significant and sustaining spike was observed during mid-October when the RSI broke past the neutral line and continued on an upward trajectory.
• At the time of writing, the RSI stood at 76.29, which showcased a state of overvaluation during this time. It also indicated that the price correction may happen soon.
• The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) failed to cross the neutral line for a majority of the analysis. However, there was an upward movement in the CMF, going from -0.39 in March 2023 to 0.02 in February 2024. 
• At press time, the CMF showcased a value of -0.15, which indicated that selling pressure outweighed buying pressure. This further meant that there was an outflow of cash from AMP, which signified a possible divergence from the RSI.
• The trading volume remained low throughout the year, with sudden spikes observed in July, November, and December.
• The trading volume recovered in 2024, with higher inflow volumes. During the first half of March, the trading volume was at its highest. Although the volume dipped during press time, it did not fall as low as its previous trading volumes.
