ORCA technical analysis: Bulls gear up for potential breakout

The Orca price prediction for 2024 is built upon an extensive analysis of the cryptocurrency’s performance over the past year, offering insights into its market behavior, price fluctuations, and underlying trends. 

At the outset of the analysis period, ORCA’s value depreciated until it stabilized at its lowest yearly support of $0.7 in late August. This level was the base of a mid-October rally, which led to substantial gains for the asset.

Consecutive green candles, lasting until mid-December, elevated the token to test the highest resistance at $8.0. This marked a major milestone as the price peaked at a two-year high. Nonetheless, as 2024 commenced, the token returned to $5.0, indicating a normal market correction after an overbuying spree. 

However, the subsequent dips below this level highlighted buyer weakness. By early February, this level was reinstated as a strong resistance. Attempts to reclaim it between late February and mid-March failed, and the price continued to trend south.

This downtrend pulled the price to a low of $1.4 in July. However, the token surged and subsequently reclaimed $2.4 mid-month. AMBCrypto noted that Open Interest (OI) increased during this time. However, the report pointed out that a sudden surge in volume without significant news to back it was unlikely to trigger an uptrend. Due to the prolonged downtrend, ORCA likely needed months of consolidation before it could mount a convincing rally.
 

Thus, as the month ended, the price dropped to find support at $1.9. At the time of writing, the token traded at $2.0. If the previous analysis holds, the token might consolidate between the former support and $2.4.

The price’s temporary surge over the MA repelled the band briefly apart in late July, but this was unsustainable. Moreover, the candle’s recent proximity to it indicated a resurgence of buying pressure, which could translate to a breakout if sustained.
