Sahara AI denies triggering 60% price crash: ‘No team tokens have been sold’

Some community members blamed the project for triggering a similar crash in 2025.

Sahara AI denies triggering 60% price crash: 'No team tokens have been sold'

Binance Labs-backed Sahara AI has denied triggering the 60% price crash of its native SAHARA token. The team’s clarification followed heightened community scrutiny after on-chain data flagged the movement of funds linked to the project during the sharp crash.

However, the team distanced itself from the allegation and added,

The transfers being cited as the cause of today’s price movement were a pre-scheduled fill of our Chainlink CCIP bridge contract to provide liquidity for our recently launched cross-chain bridge. This is unrelated to the market movement.

The project said the scheduled transfer was 600 million SAHARA. According to the team, another 150 million SAHARA was set to be deposited to boost liquidity in the said bridge.

Some even speculated that the market volatility could be influenced by a security exploit. However, the team ruled out any security incident.

There are no security issues on our token contracts or products. Our team has initiated an internal investigation to better understand the drivers behind the fluctuation.

Will the Sahara AI token recover?

But some community members claimed that this was not the first time the team has feigned ‘market volatility’ for the SAHARA drop. Back in November 2025, a similar occurrence happened, and the token shed about 60% of its value.

For the June incident, the token lost 65% in a single day.

As of writing, the losses have shrunk slightly to 45%. A sustained recovery could only be confirmed if the bulls defend the $0.02 price floor, which has acted as a key support in Q2 2026 (dotted white line).

Sahara AI was listed on Binance spot markets last June and was backed by Binance Labs, Polychain Capital, and Pantera Capital. It’s a decentralized AI marketplace that allows creators to earn fair revenue from renting out their AI agents

That said, exchange selling pressure dropped sharply by 30% at the time of writing. This suggested that the pressure initially experienced during the market volatility appeared to be tapering off.

Still, the recovery could only be confirmed if the exchange selling pressure remains low and the token decisively reclaims the $0.02 level as support.

Final Summary

  • The Sahara AI project denied claims of offloading the team’s token, which reportedly triggered the SAHARA’s price crash
  • Exchange selling pressure eased by 30%, but the SAHARA bulls’ next line of defense would be $0.02.
