Tron [TRX], the twelfth largest cryptocurrency in the market, released its latest update for the mainnet, Odyssey – v3.6.0 on June 20. Tron’s Head of Public Chain Division, Marcus Zhao, announced the release on his profile, followed by the Chief Executive Officer of Tron and BitTorrent, Justin Sun announcing the same.

The update has been added and at the same time, changed many features on the mainnet, like an added instruction for TVM that would return a predictable contract address before being deployed. The newly added feature includes,

“Add clearABI API including http and grpc, contract’s deployer can use this to clear his contract’s existed ABI.”

With respect to making changes, the update supports event subscriptions with ABI and has optimized energy deduction strategy, HTTP interface, and http/grpc broadcast transaction interface. According to the GitHub post, the update fixed the HTTP interface parsing the long type value. For smart contract without ABI,

“If you want to call the constant method, you must use the triggerConstantContract interface, instead of triggerContract”

According to the previous post about the update, the Foundation states that it is aimed at P2P networks, but the public chain is pledged to maximize user engagement to its ecosystem with free access and strong incentives. It would also enable DApp developers to customize their event service.

At press time, TRX was valued at $0.0331 with a market cap of $2.208 billion. The 24-hour trading volume of the coin was reported to be $530.18 million, as the token slipped by 2.95% over the day. Over the past seven days, TRX fell by 0.27%, but was recovering by 0.39% within the hour.
