Ledger, the smartcard-based Bitcoin hardware wallet, yesterday Tweeted, requesting Tron developers to get in touch with them for evaluating the technical complexity related to their new blockchain [mainnet launch]. This comes after a Twitter user asked Ledger if they can expect TRX support.
Tron [TRX] recently launched their testnet with a decision to move away from ERC-20. They have been receiving support from many exchanges and wallets, to name some, Bit-Z, Bitfinex, Bitpie, Coinnest, Coinrail, Bithumb, Bibox, Binance, BITKOP, Okex, DragonEx, Bittrex, Liqui, Bixin, Gate.io, RightBTC, UpBit, ZebPay and Huobi Pro.
Ledger Wallet was among the most popular destination for TRON holders. However, in the recent past, this wallet had failed to be proactive in making the most of their already established user base in relation to TRON alliance. They recently announced their support for Nano and Nimiq. These 3rd-party apps for the Ledger Nano are available on the Ledger Manager.
Tron Whale, a supporter of Tron and a Twitter user commented:
“Awesome to see you guys incorporating interesting new options, seems like TRX is a great choice, since it is one of the trading volume leaders on nearly every exchange. Everyone will want to keep their TRX on a
#LedgerWallet! Off to buy more #TRX and a #LedgerWallet to store it!”
This was followed by a lot of Twitter users coming in support of Ledger and asking Tron Foundation and Justin Sun to respond to this request.
DmG, a Twitter user commented:
“@justinsuntron and @Tronfoundation , Please take a moment to get in touch!”
SirThomas, another Twitter user commented:
“Thanks for listening, much appreciated!!!
Sir Ian of Hexham, crypto enthusiasts, and a Twitter user commented:
“@justinsuntron @Tronfoundation make it happen!”
Slater, an investor and a Twitter user commented:
Please make this happen. I only buy TRX! I will buy a ledger wallet the minute it is available.
