A new Layer2 DEX based on zero-knowledge technology, zkLink, is on a mission to make cross-chain swaps easier, faster and cheaper to execute.
The rise of DeFi in the crypto space has led to a widespread interest in DEXes, or decentralized exchanges. But for inexperienced traders and investors, many of them now entering the blockchain and crypto space for the first time, DEXes are often difficult to navigate. Poor UX and UI designs contribute to less-than-intuitive experiences and high gas fees further hinder users from completing transactions.
“As the DeFi space continues to grow, improving the user experience and enabling interoperability for asset trades is a must,” said Vince Yang, co-founder at zkLink.
To address these issues, zkLink is ramping up to be the first multi-chain DEX to enable seamless cross-chain swaps across both EVM and non-EVM compatible chains including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Huobi Eco Chain (HECO), and Polygon.
As the first step in its journey to mainnet, zkLink has launched its testnet 2.0, which enables users to execute deposits, withdraw funds, execute transactions, swap, and add and remove liquidity on several testnet chains. Users can now access the testnet through the zkLink website.
The testnet includes an updated product matrix, which includes an improved user experience and new functionality enabling traders to complete chain-to-chain transactions without depositing to the Layer2 wallet in advance. The testnet also includes two new product modules:
- Fast Cross-chain Swap, a one-click cross-chain trading tool developed on top of zkLink Layer2 Swap.
- Bridge, a multi-chain token mapping instrument for deployment across and between chains.
How to Participate in the zkLink Loyalty NFT Program
To celebrate the launch and encourage users to participate in the testnet phase, zkLink is giving away $5,000,000 worth of zkLink NFTs. All users who participate in the testnet are eligible to receive zkLink Loyalty NFTs, which can be used to boost yield farming on zkLink once the mainnet goes live.
There are several ways to participate in the campaign leading up to the mainnet:
zKLink Meme 2.0 contest
Users are invited to make creative and interesting memes related to zklink. Points are distributed as follows:
Users are encouraged to like, retweet, and comment on zkLink’s Twitter posts for a chance to earn points. When the number of new followers reaches 5k, 8k, or 10k every week, all followers will be rewarded with 10k points, 20k points, or 50k points respectively.
A similar point system applies to zkLink’s Telegram and Discord. The more followers, the more points, everyone is rewarded.
Community members are invited to create content, film tutorials, translate posts, and contribute in other ways as ambassadors for zkLink.
For their work, all ambassadors are rewarded with 100,000 points.
In addition to these initiatives, zkLink has also awarded its users who participated in activities during the earliest version of the testnet. The team also plans to offer more contests and incentives, including a trading competition worth up to 55,000 points for active traders.
Vince added, “We’re excited to ramp up our development and community initiatives as we prepare for our mainnet. The support of our users is so important as we mark these major milestones, so we want to report them in as many ways as we can—now and in the future.”
