PUMP defends 50-day MA – Is Pump.fun’s bullish trend still intact?

Pump.fun was the second highest revenue-generating crypto project with $322 million in revenue so far in 2026.

PUMP traders navigate short-term range after sizeable 162.5% August rally peak

A few days ago, CoinGecko released a report listing the top 15 revenue-generating crypto projects in 2026 so far. Pump.fun [PUMP] was second on the list with $322 million, behind Hyperliquid [HYPE] with $429 million.

Together, these two accounted for 22.10% of the $3.40 billion, which was all the revenue tracked in 2026. Pump.fun’s share comes almost entirely from token creation and trading fees on its memecoin launchpad, according to the report.

Apart from the sizeable revenue, Pump.fun also boasted increased usage and reduced supply. The 240 million PUMP token buyback contributed to the supply decline, boosting token value due to scarcity.

PUMP bulls defend 50-day Moving Average

The PUMP token price tested the 50-day Moving Average (MA) at $0.00384 and rebounded once again. The 20- and 50-day MA highlighted the altcoin’s bullish momentum, in place since early July.

A pullback from the $0.0054 local high to $0.0034 has occurred, and PUMP has seen a bullish reaction over the past ten days.

While the OBV was rising toward the August highs, the CMF remained in negative territory as of writing. The -0.13 reading, despite the price gains, showed that intraday volatility was high and buying pressure was unable to force steady gains, unlike the rally last month.

Despite the CMF’s reading, the trend on the daily timeframe remained bullish. The $0.00225 swing high from May was comfortably breached, taking PUMP crypto prices to highs not seen since October 2025.

On the 4-hour chart, the latest bullish impulse move last month was used to plot a set of Fibonacci retracement levels. The $0.00325-$0.00371 golden pocket was tested and defended two weeks ago, but the altcoin’s bulls could not push past the $0.00464 local range high (purple).

As things stand, swing traders can look to take profits at the range highs and wait for a dip back into the golden pocket to buy PUMP. Alternatively, a breakout past the range could also be a buying opportunity.

Final Summary

  • Pump.fun was the second highest revenue-generating crypto project with $322 million in revenue so far in 2026.
  • The PUMP gains in recent weeks set in place bullish price structures that have been well defended during the recent retracement.
