Capital B wants to ‘buy as much Bitcoin as possible, as fast as possible’ – CEO
Capital B is doubling down on its Bitcoin treasury plan, with its CEO outlining plans to build a larger BTC-backed balance sheet.
Just like Michael Saylor’s Strategy, Capital B, the 25th largest Bitcoin [BTC] DAT, has joined the race of Bitcoin accumulation.
According to Capital B’s CEO, Alexandre Laizet, the company wants to keep accumulating Bitcoin and use its public-market position to finance those purchases.
Capital B’s CEO bets on Bitcoin
Speaking in a recent interview at BTCPrague (Europe’s biggest Bitcoin conference), Laizet described Capital B as a Bitcoin-maximalist company. This means the CEO believes that Bitcoin’s long-term value comes from holding the asset rather than frequently trading or selling it. He said,
Capital B of course has an intention to buy as much Bitcoin as possible, as fast as possible and in the most accretive way as possible.
Laizet’s broader argument is based on Bitcoin’s fixed supply. According to Laizet, governments, financial institutions, and corporations are increasingly seeking Bitcoin exposure.
He specifically pointed to the U.S. government’s strategic Bitcoin reserve policy as evidence that Bitcoin is being treated differently from other government-held assets.
The CEO added,
The only asset that the government does not want to sell, that’s quite a statement.
Alexandre Laizet’s ultimate vision
However, in all of this, Laizet’s main argument is about access to capital. Laizet estimates that global assets total roughly $1 quadrillion but says only a small portion of that capital can directly purchase Bitcoin.
Most institutional capital is instead invested through securities, such as stocks and bonds.
Laizet concluded,
You have the opportunity to issue equity, to tap into that 100 trillion market. You have the opportunity to issue debt, to tap into that 300 trillion market.
Capital B’s Bitcoin achievement
This comes as the French Bitcoin DAT’s Bitcoin holdings have reached 3,525 BTC, worth $299.14 million. In fact, Capital B also recently surpassed Sweden’s H100 Group.
The firm further announced a €21 million institutional funding round to purchase more Bitcoin.
Meanwhile, its Bitcoin yield has also risen 2.1% year-to-date in 2026, reflecting its continued strategy of increasing BTC exposure through capital-market financing.
