ZB Group has successfully hosted the prestigious ‘Consensus Night’ at MIMa, New York City this evening, May 14th, 2019, along with ChainDD. The event took place in the evening of the second day of ‘Consensus’, by Coindesk, also in New York City.
‘Consensus Night’, an invitation-only gathering, was booked up over a week prior to its scheduled date. Over one hundred individuals added their names to the waitlist in hopes to attend.
The night started out with the welcome speeches of both hosts, ChainDD’s Founding Partner Ms.  Catherine Li, and ZB Group’s Vice President Ms. Aurora Wong.
ZB Group’s VP spoke on the challenges that the industry has overcome as well as those that still remain, “The crypto winter played an important role in revealing a more mature industry full of great opportunities.”
These opportunities are translated into technological advances, such as the leaders of Ethereum successfully working towards delivering Ethereum 2.0 and the steady growth of EOS community with more DAPPs being developed and coming online, as well as established institutions like JP Morgan and social media giants such as Facebook actively seeking blockchain solutions to address their own challenges.
Those present also had the chance to learn more about ZB Group and their flagship exchange, ZB.com’s, history of contribution to space with their 6 year anniversary arriving in June 2019.
ZB.com is one of the absolute earliest cryptocurrency exchanges which has never had any issues with securing its users’ digital assets. It has been extremely successful in constantly upgrading its security standards exceeding industry best practices.
ZB.com is a top tier cryptocurrency exchange which delivers a product worthy of the most sophisticated traders. It was the very first exchange to make available blue-chip tokens like ETH and EOS to mainland China traders, and in those early days for Ethereum, over 80% of all ETH trades happened on ZB.com. Ms. Wong made it clear that ZB.com is a highly curated platform where users interests are put first.
ZB Group’s Director of Business Development, Mr. Jesse Johnson, moderated a panel discussion on the theme “how blockchain is changing the investment landscape.”
Panelists included Joy Lou, Founder and CEO of TokenMania, one of the largest digital asset management firms in China with forty thousand bitcoins of assets under management, Wonder Xu, founder of Coineal Labs, former VP at Global Crypto Fund and David Martin, CIO of Blockforce Capital, an experienced financial professional with twelve years in portfolio management, trading and risk management.
The panelists shared their thoughts about the most interesting developments they see happening in the industry, different protocols on the Blockchain, asset tokenization and the exploration of new territory around ‘digital securities’ and security token offerings [STOs].
“Consensus Night” gathered professionals from leading industry companies, investment firms, financial security giants, global brands, academic institutions, and policy groups. It promoted deep conversation over wine and refreshments in the heart of Manhattan.
