AAVE crypto rallies 13% - But THESE signals call for caution

Aave [AAVE] has extended its bullish advance by recording a 13% surge over the last 24 hours at press time. The network’s recent developments could further strengthen the token’s market momentum.

Before the recent daily gain, AAVE announced product expansion via Aave V4 on Base, enabling tokenized stocks like Coinbase ($COIN) to be used as collateral for USDC loans.

At the same time, the bullish advances come as the on-chain sentiments across the network are also strengthening. AAVE whale activity has taken an upward trajectory alongside  trading volume and exchange reserves. This creates a mixed setup as buyers push AAVE higher.

Whale activity adds to buying pressure

According to the recent Future Average Order Size data, Aave whales are bagging in more orders at the current trading price.

The impacts are already visible on the token’s price action. But borrowing from the previous developments, the rising whale participation creates more room to amplify price movements. Moreover, this time it coincides with broader buying pressure.

Trading activity shows signs of overheating

On the derivatives, AAVE’s recent rally has pushed trading activity into overheated territory. This suggests that momentum may be accelerating faster than normal.

For investors, however,  elevated activity could also increase the risk of short-term profit-taking. But with the token now trading above all its key EMAs on the daily chart, the bullish momentum is likely to hold.

Exchange reserves climb sharply

AAVE’s exchange reserves have also seen a rise to a new monthly high during the past 24 hours. Thus, this gives another element to consider for traders. The rise in exchange reserves may act as an additional source of selling pressure, especially if the token holders start moving tokens into exchanges to book their profits.

All in all, with network-related news helping to boost up the token’s price and whales becoming active, the short-term momentum could be prolonged. Nevertheless, increased exchange reserves and overheated trading might bring in some volatility.

Final Summary

  • AAVE has surged by 13% in the last 24 hours as recent network developments strengthened bullish momentum.
  • The network’s whale activity and trading volume have also increased, signaling stronger participation as AAVE extended its rally.
