Someone jumped on the trend and created a memecoin, which was launched on Solana through Pump.fun. TikTok picked it up and pumped it into a half-billion-dollar market cap in less than a week.
Interestingly, the record growth outpaced even the wild rally that PNUT fronted.
CHILLGUY holders crossed 100K in just a week, while it took over 10 days for PNUT to cross 60K holders. At press time, CHILLGUY holders stood at 103.8K per Solcan data.
The number of holders surged even after the slight drop tipped the market cap to slide from $500 million to around $400 million as of press time. This indicated high market interest and potential for rebound for the memecoin.
On the token-holding distribution front, the top ten holders held about 10% of the overall CHILLGUY supply of 999.9 million. This meant that top holders could have limited influence on price action even if they dumped their stash.
Besides, the token was among the top 10 trending Solana tokens. This could positively influence prices as long as TikTok narratives continue to dominate.
