Nebulas Guardian persisted on the implementation of Community Governance and Core Vision

On June 25, 2019, the majority of Nebulas Foundation council members and the entire Nebulas Research Institute jointly made an announcement on the Nebulas community forum. They indicated that they would firmly insist on the implementation of the Nebulas community governance following the principals in the Nebulas community governance orange paper and thus to practice Nebulas’ core vision of ” Let everyone get values from decentralized collaboration fairly”.
In the announcement, the addresses indicated that “we are deeply aware that we cannot achieve our vision of decentralized collaboration under a centralized management system” and will strictly follow the rules of:

1. The restriction of the power of individuals, no individual could be privileged to be beyond the rules of the “Nebulas Community Group”.
2. The restriction of the power of the organizations of the “Nebulas Community Group”, each organization’s source of legitimacy of power, organizations, and power boundaries will be strictly stipulated, and the three parties will be constrained by one another.
3. All the community public assets including the 35 million NAS of community reserved as described in the Nebulas Whitepaper, the consensus/block generation issuance and the intellectual property, including public, the open source code of Nebulas will be managed by all community members. The Nebulas Community Group will ensure the legitimacy of the governance process and the mutual restriction of power; no organization or individual has absolute power and no organization or individual can directly use public assets.

Despite implementing the organization and operation of the “Nebulas Community Group” and transiting the community public assets for public management has encountered irresistible resistance and disagreement. The addressees have indicated that they are willing to stand as the guardian of Nebulas and resolutely resist any violation of the basic principle of Nebulas community governance or any contrary to the claims of this statement and will not rule out the use of necessary technical means to maintain the interest of the Nebulas community.
Currently, the first Nebulas Council Election is ongoing with an application deadline on July 7 [UTC+8]
