ATOM technical analysis: Market remains unfavorable for token

Over the past year, ATOM has experienced significant fluctuations, reflecting the broader market ups and downs. This prompts a closer look at the Cosmos Hub price prediction for 2024 to understand its future potential.

In early September, the asset stood at $6.5. The bulls' attempts to reverse the downtrend mid-month were met with substantial pushback, returning the price to this level in early October.

A pivotal shift occurred in mid-October when bullish forces mounted a strong comeback. Sustained buying pressure elevated the altcoin over $8.1 by November. Furthermore, the rally continued in December, with ATOM testing the highest resistance at $12.3.

The new year introduced volatility, and the asset retracted below $10.0. Nonetheless, the bulls were undeterred, elevating the price again in February. By March, the token briefly surged above $12.3. A broader market crash succeeded this in April, pulling ATOM to $8.1.

This level held off further declines till June. On June 5, the blockchain network experienced a four-hour outage during a scheduled V17 upgrade. While it didn’t lead to an immediate drop in price, the week saw the asset trading below $8.1.

By mid-month, it was back at $6.5. This level has been a resilient support since Q1 2021. However, a bearish blow in July turned it into resistance. Mid-month attempts to flip it faltered under the dominant downtrend.
