ONDO technical analysis: Signs point to a bullish turnaround

The growing interest in the Real World Asset (RWA) sector has become a significant area of focus for investors looking for tangible asset-backed investments in cryptocurrency. This has propelled ONDO into the limelight, making the Ondo price prediction for 2024 a keen topic of interest.

ONDO started the period experiencing a notable bull run, driving the token to test its highest resistance at $1.45. Remarkably, on June 3, the price set a new all-time high (ATH) at $1.48. Nevertheless, the bears stepped back and pulled the token to $1.24. 

After briefly oscillating around this level, it was decisively reinstated as resistance. Consequently, the token dropped to $1.09 mid-month and continued to move sideways between this level and $1.24 until early July.

The scales tilted in bearish favor as $1.09 was flipped to a price wall, with the price bottoming out at the lowest chart floor at $0.89. AMBCrypto analyzed the token’s positioning around this critical level, hinting at the onset of a potential bull rally. 

Moreover, the supply of ONDO on exchanges decreased while its availability outside exchanges rose, further reinforcing the trend of investors accumulating the token.

Consequently, repeated tests of $0.98 resulted in a breakout by mid-July. At press time, it traded at $1.04. This uptick was bolstered by Bitcoin’s (BTC) appreciation. Moreover, AMBCrypto reported that these gains aligned with Ondo Finance’s integration with the Pyth Network. 

Nonetheless, negative Weighted Sentiment threatened the anticipated bull run for ONDO. Furthermore, there was a significant drop in the daily active addresses, potentially delaying any additional upward movement. 

How high/low can ONDO go in 2024?

Given the current dynamics, the asset might be free-falling to the lowest chart support if the price breaks below the current support. A more pronounced bearish onslaught can even see it plunge to the next downside targets of $0.84 and  $0.73.  

However, a bullish trend in BTC could negate this scenario. If bulls reclaim $1.09, they can have the upper hand again. A move past the current highest resistance would put the Fibonacci extension level of $1.71 as the next target, underlined by AMBCrypto’s previous analysis. Sustained momentum above this level can pave the way for going as high as $2 within 2024.

The long-term outlook for ONDO remains optimistic. Projections from our models suggest an average trading price of over $150 by 2030, potentially escalating to more than $1,300 by 2033.

ONDO's 2024 roadmap: Key indicators to watch and trade

• The trading volume followed price movements, showcasing an increase alongside the price appreciation. However, it also peaked as the price hit new lows.
• The Bollinger Bands remained expanded until mid-June, with the price over the 20-day Moving Average (MA). It even intermittently crossed the upper band.
• The subsequent downturn compromised prices standing over the 20 MA. While brief surges over it were noted, none of them were sustained.
• Furthermore, the candles frequently brushed against the lower band, falling below it completely in early July. This oversold condition triggered a recovery as the price candles moved closer to the MA by the end of the analysis, highlighting an increase in buying pressure.
• In the Directional Movement Index (DMI), the -DI line initially remained the lowest. The +DI line dipped below the ADX line in early June, with both descending. Contrarily, the -DI line rose.
• Between mid-June and early July, the +DI and -DI lines fluctuated across each other while the ADX line plunged to its lowest place in late June. After this struggle, the -DI line emerged dominant and ascended with the ADX line.
• This ascension reversed in mid-July, pointing to weakening bearish strength. As of the latest data, the ADX registered at 23.7172, +DI at 18.1512, and -DI at 24.8853.
