FET technical analysis: Buying drive paints the market green 

While trading under the ticker FET, the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance price prediction in 2024 builds upon the former’s previous performance throughout last year and the ongoing merger that can substantially impact the artificial intelligence (AI) token.  

The analysis began pessimistically, as the altcoin stayed at its lowest yearly support, $0.2. In mid-October, the market recovered, as a prominent presence of green candles elevated the price to $0.7 in mid-December.

The test triggered a retraction in mid-January, signaling a market correction due to overbuying. However, this didn't stop the uptrend.

As the calendar turned to February 2024, FET's bull rally did not just resume; it accelerated. With the month ending, the token flipped the psychological mark of $1.0. Despite overvaluation concerns, the asset rose and tested the peak resistance at $3.0 in March.

Notably, FET reached an all-time high (ATH) of $3.4 in late March. The ASI proposal fueled this milestone. This proposal, laid down by the development teams of Fetch.ai (FET), SingularityNET (AGIX), and Ocean Protocol (OCEAN), aimed to unify all three AI tokens into one. 

Nevertheless, the market underwent a correction as the token plunged to $2.0 in early April, where it consolidated between this level and $2.4 until June. During this time, the community approved the merger proposal in mid-April.

This was followed by FET minting an additional 1,477,549,566 tokens in early May to support the ASI Token Exchange Mechanism. Nonetheless, these catalysts proved insufficient to trigger a breakout.

Interestingly, as the network announced its initial merger date in June, the buyers lost $2.0. The merger timeline was later revised, moving from mid-June to mid-July. Nonetheless, the declines continued, returning the price to $1.0 in July.

The token merger began on July 1, 2024. Over 50% of the circulating supply was migrated, including project treasuries and user balances on supporting exchanges. SingularityNET, Ocean Protocol, and Fetch.ai were consolidated under the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (FET). Moreover, the first two were delisted from exchanges, marking the completion of Phase 1 later in the month.

However, the price declined following a rejection at $1.5. By August, it breached the critical $1.0 level and rested at $0.7. The tides shifted later in the month as Fetch.ai announced the launch of its Innovation Lab. 

AMBCrypto noted that the AI token reversed its losses and reclaimed $1.0, making it one of the top weekly gainers. After briefly stabilizing, the bulls rallied and flipped $1.5 in mid-September, reversing the bearish trend. This momentum was driven by substantial whale accumulation. At press time, the asset exchanged hands at $1.6.

AMBCrypto’s market analysis highlighted that AI tokens, decentralized finance (DeFi) tokens, and memecoins outperformed Layer 1 and Layer 2 solutions in the past month. Boosted by NVIDIA’s August earnings, AI-related cryptocurrencies also attracted investor confidence.

Furthermore, FET broke out of the inverted head-and-shoulders pattern on the daily chart, supporting the bullish reversal. As pointed out by AMBCrypto, the token has been nearing critical resistance in a widening wedge pattern.

Despite mixed signals from metrics, a continued uptrend may see the token reach $3.0. The merger’s ongoing  Phase 2, which includes updating the ticker to ASI and the recent developments, can further fuel long-term optimism.

Nonetheless, the asset can return to immediate support if the investors realize profits at the current resistance. If it is compromised, it would prompt a decline to $1.0.
 

Based on predictions from our models, the asset is expected to remain bullish, although not strongly, with its price projected to reach close to $4 by 2030. This indicates potential volatility in the future. The models forecast the average price to go as high as $10 within 11 years.

FET's 2024 roadmap: Key indicators to watch and trade

• The Bollinger Bands widened following the candles' move over the 20-week Moving Average (MA) in Q4 2023 and the frequent crossover with the upper band between late October and March.
• The market crash pulled the price below 20 MA in June. Furthermore, the bands converged slightly. However, the resurgence of buying pressure elevated the price above the MA in mid-September. 
• The trading volume aligned with the price movements, highlighting substantial investor backing behind rallies. Given the token's lackluster performance, the volume receded since April. However, it rose again with the recent price uptick.
• The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line moved over the signal line in late September. It turned positive in late October, and the signal line caught up by early November. 
• However, the MACD line’s rise was reversed in April, culminating in a bearish crossover in May. The MACD and signal line dropped below the zero line in late July and mid-August, respectively.
• Nonetheless, a bullish crossover was formed in late September. The latest recorded values were the MACD line at -0.041, the signal line at -0.061, and the histogram at 0.020.
