TRX technical analysis: Market sustains its optimism for the asset

The market’s bullish stance on TRX has propelled it into the limelight. As stakeholders look to gauge its future trajectory, understanding market trends and other developments will be crucial in shaping Tron's price prediction in 2024.
 

The analysis commenced with the asset stabilizing at its lowest support level of $0.069 within the observed time frame. An initial attempt to breach the $0.083 resistance level was rejected. However, the base-level support effectively prevented further declines. A subsequent test in mid-July did not lead to a drop to previous lows.
 

In September, the bullish momentum intensified, leading to the price breaking through the $0.083 resistance by the end of the month. This uptrend continued, and by November, the asset reclaimed the critical $0.101 mark and tested the $0.110 level. Following this, a consolidation phase ensued for nearly two months, with the price oscillating between these levels.

By the end of January, a bullish breakout occurred, turning the $0.110 level into a firm support base. February witnessed a significant bull run, propelling the price to challenge its peak resistance at $0.141 by the end of the month. 
 

AMBCrypto reported that Tron’s growth was buoyed by optimistic developments on the blockchain front, including plans to launch a Bitcoin (BTC) Layer 2 solution, which could further bolster the blockchain's value.

In early March, AMBCrypto highlighted that the total value locked (TVL) in Tron's decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols reached a new all-time high (ATH), approaching double digits. This was alongside data indicating that over 98% of Tron's holders were in profit. However, this situation preceded increased selling pressure as investors began to exit their positions.
 

The asset's price declined as March progressed, falling below its established support at $0.123 by mid-month. Attempts to reclaim this level led to further rejection, with the price dropping to $0.110 in April. This drop could have been triggered by Tron’s lackluster performance in the DeFi sector in Q2 2024. This led to a significant decrease in TVL below the $9 billion mark.

Towards the end of April, a slight uptick in price was observed, with the asset trading at $0.122.

This recovery suggested that the bulls remained resilient. If they manage to replicate their previous success, claiming the current resistance appears likely in the short to medium term. 
 

A sustainable run could potentially push the price beyond $0.141. However, any further upside might be limited by significant resistance at $0.144, with a substantial amount of TRX possibly being liquidated just around this mark.
 

In a contrasting scenario, if the market reverses its direction, the price can again find support at $0.110. A break below it can push the price back to $0.101. A further drop would significantly reduce the asset's valuation, potentially leading it back to $0.083.

Predictive models remain optimistic about the asset's future, projecting an upward trajectory. The average price could reach as high as $1.1 within the next two years, and by 2029, it could soar to as high as $10.

TRX's 2024 roadmap: Key indicators to watch and trade

• At the outset, the 20 and 50 Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) formed a golden cross. Thereafter, these acted as dynamic support for the price. 
• The price candles fell below the 20 EMA briefly in April. Yet, regained its position by the end of the analysis. This validated the presence of a lasting uptrend.
• The Directional Movement Index (DMI) provided further insights into the market’s momentum. In the first half of May, the +DI line moved above the -DI and the ADX lines and continued to ascend along with the ADX. Meanwhile, the -DI line descended.
• In November, the trend shifted as the +DI began to drop slightly and fell below the ADX line, while the -DI recovered. This pattern repeated between late February and March, and the ADX began to descend as well. 
• In April, the -DI briefly overtook the +DI. However, the latter soon dominated it. At the time of writing, the values for the lines were +DI at 22.4938, -DI at 20.7153, and ADX at the highest position at 33.4048. These values favored the bullish trend.
• The trading volume remained high throughout the period. Notably, even during price drops, the volume saw recoveries. This reflected that there was significant interest and activity in the market.
