Sharing women’s stories in Web3: Join LBank’s women’s day special TwitterSpace

In celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day, global crypto exchange LBank is gathering six talented women working in Web3 to talk about their experiences and stories in the industry.

LBank is delighted to have LivelyVerse Founder Gabriela Reyes, Metaverse Strategist and ‘Waterdown Queen of Technology’ at Tropyverse Yaeunda Pou, OneRare Co-founder Supreet Raju, Web3 Marketing Strategist Olamide Abe, LBank Labs Fund Principal Valeria Kholostenko, and LBank business development manager Dilnoza Adkham join the discussion. The panel talk will cover topics such as women entering the world of Web3, limitations women face in the industry, and how female peers inspire each other.

There are many inspiring, outstanding women in the Web3 community, including Scalar Capital co-founder Linda Xie, Lightning Labs CEO Elizabeth Stark, and many more. However, besides the lack of prominent female figures, it is not hard to see that Web3 is still a male-dominated industry that needs to work on becoming a more diverse space. t LBank believes the first step is to open up our ears and shed light on stories that are traditionally excluded or not deemed important enough.

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day (IWD) is #EmbraceEquity. A central point is differentiating between equality and equity. LBank has always been proud of providing transparent, equal opportunities to all employees and candidates, ever since the company’s establishment in 2015. However, we understand more action is required.

Appreciating the fact that people come from different places is the key message of this year’s IWD campaign. Stories have the power of making strangers human. By listening and sharing stories we get a rare chance to see the world through their eyes. LBank hopes to use this opportunity to listen to stories, understand lives, and embrace equity by challenging discrimination and bigotry from within.

We need women. Not just on Women’s Day, but every day. Women at LBank put their creativity, passion, and expertise into their work, and are an indispensable part of our team.
