First Eleven has announced its latest digital art drop with five Australian players, including hero Jamie MacLaren to drop their first NFT (non-fungible tokens) collection of over 150 hand-drawn pieces aptly named THE CLUB.

First Eleven announces NFT drop with football star Jamie Maclaren and several other Australian and A-League footballers.

Aaron Evans, Luke Brattan, Jack Hingert, Matt Acton, Thierry Chanta Bin, and Jamie Maclaren have partnered with the NFT project to enter the cryptoverse and hop on to the NFT trend. This will allow fans to connect with football communities while helping athletes find more opportunities to monetize their name and image. Melbourne City star Jamie Maclaren says First Eleven aims to “redefine the fan experiences” and continue to build its presence in the NFT community. “This is one Drop you don’t want to miss.”

As the world witnesses significant celebrities and brands like Eminem and Adidas launching their NFT collection, it’s been attracting fans to be a part of the cryptocurrency community, increasing the 0.71% usage rate of crypto globally. First Eleven aims to bring sports and blockchain together through their upcoming NFT Drop, launched on 30 January 2022. Reaching mainstream and traditional markets outside the crypto community, First Eleven has also launched an NFT giveaway and whitelisting week until 30 January 2022, showcasing appreciation towards their growing community.

“Think of our NFTs as a key to unlock access to a community that will house exclusive content and experiences. Very similar to how many sports fans pay monthly/yearly subscriptions to access private media outlets and message boards,” said Kaz Patafta, Co-Founder & CEO of First Eleven.

THE CLUB NFTs collection comprises 25 unique pieces; each contains individual utilities and attributes per NFT. The collection holds 150 hand-drawn traits, and each NFT is unique and with a membership to an exclusive club of holders. Each player is unique, but together they form the ultimate team. The First Eleven Founding Six are stored as ERC-721 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain and hosted on IPFS. While these NFTs will be available on Opensea through the First 11 launchpad, this will precede the soon-to-be-launched First Eleven NFT marketplace that will house collections from many football clubs worldwide.

Notably, 50% of revenue from the NFTs will go to F11 Foundation to support the non-for-profit football programs. First Eleven’s F11 foundation plans to set up free academy programs and clinics across Australia and Asia to invest, grow, and mentor underprivileged footballers providing opportunities and football education.

The players are very excited about the partnership and the opportunity to monetize their hard work and explore this new digital world to connect with their fans. “Part of what we want to develop is an infrastructure that is necessary to provide recurring opportunities for all football athletes,” said Zac Anderson, Co-Founder & COO of First Eleven.
