ALGO technical analysis: Bullish breakout on the horizon after stabilization?

The financial trajectory of ALGO throughout last year was emblematic of a tumultuous period for the cryptocurrency, predominantly characterized by bearish dominance. However, the outlook for Algorand's price prediction in 2024 appears more optimistic as bullish momentum returns to the market.
 

The analysis commenced with ALGO in a declining phase, where it breached the $0.15 level in early May 2023. As the weeks progressed, the token faced further depreciation, significantly dropping below $0.11 and momentarily touching its lowest price floor at $0.09 in June.
 

Mid-June saw a temporary reversal in fortune as bullish traders drove the price above the $0.11 mark. However, this recovery was short-lived. By late June, ALGO faced another downturn, falling back below $0.11 in early July.

The persistent testing of the $0.11 mark continued until mid-August, each time ending in rejection. This underscored the bearish market sentiment. However, a shift occurred by mid-October, with significant bullish momentum propelling ALGO past $0.15 and reaching $0.19 by early December. This rally didn't stop there. By year's end, ALGO had even completely breached this level, touching newer highs.

The beginning of 2024 saw the introduction of corrective forces, leading to a decrease in ALGO's price back to rest above the $0.15 level by late January. February marked another bullish phase. This pushed ALGO to the peak resistance of $0.27 by early March. This level was tested several times throughout March.

Early April brought about a notable rejection at the $0.27 level, leading to a subsequent price drop below $0.19. This period was characterized by repeated testing of the $0.19 level. As the analysis period concluded in May 2024, ALGO was trading at $0.18.

ALGO’s short-term growth trajectory looks promising. Recently, Algorand announced its role as a technical partner in Frontech Accelerator, a newly launched program by CDP Venture Capital’s National Accelerator Network. • However, a decline in trading volume was noted during January. This reversed in February as the volume caught up with the price again. After another surge in April, it waned slightly at press time but did not fall to its previous lows.
• After a period of decline until early September, the On-Balance-Volume (OBV) reversed its direction. This indicated a shift in market sentiment as buying pressure began to outweigh selling pressure.
• A significant upward movement in the OBV was observed towards the end of January, pushing the indicator to new highs. This suggested a strong influx of volume.
• After a slight drop between March and April, the indicator recovered again, standing at the highest point, 4.012 billion, at press time. It signaled substantial investor participation, potentially predicting continued upward price movement.
