There were speculations that the summit could feature crypto strategic reserve updates.

  • Trump’s inaugural crypto summit could include a U.S. BTC strategic announcement.
  • Top crypto execs, including Brian Armstrong and Michael Saylor, have been invited.

On the 7th of March, President Donald Trump will hold an inaugural crypto summit, with reports suggesting a potential Bitcoin[BTC] reserve strategy could be part of the announcements.

According to journalist Ksenija Pavlovic McAteer, the much-awaited national BTC reserve strategy will be unveiled during the event, citing Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

“Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick tells Ksenija Pavlovic McAteer that President Donald Trump will unveil a Bitcoin reserve strategy at the White House Crypto Summit on Friday.”

The report added that Lutnick said Bitcoin would be treated differently than other cryptos in the reserve.

“So Bitcoin is one thing, and then the other currencies, the other crypto tokens, I think, will be treated differently—positively, but differently.”

If validated, this could massively move the markets.

Top crypto execs invited

The President tasked the Digital Working Group, including David Sacks and Secretary Lutnick, with creating a digital asset stockpile framework.

This framework, to be completed in six months, aims to establish a legally grounded reserve beyond the current administration.

Fox Business journalist Eleanor Teanor reported summit attendees, including Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Strategy (previously MicroStrategy) founder Michael Saylor.

Other invitees included Kyle Samani of MultiCoin Capital, Zach Witkoff of World Liberty Financials, and Chainlink’s Sergey Nazarov.

Kraken’s Arjun Sethi, Robinhood’s Vlad Tenev, and Paradigm CEO Matt Huang were also invited to the summit.

Matt Huang confirmed his attendance, pledging to advocate for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana builders during the meeting. He said

“I look forward to discussing how America can take a leadership role in promoting the principles of open crypto and enabling builders in ecosystems such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.”

As of press time, there was no official confirmation that Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, would attend the event.

However, over the weekend, Garlinghouse mentioned that he would champion multi-coin crypto reserves, including XRP, at the summit.

“I will certainly continue to champion this (multiple crypto reserve) while in Washington at the end of this week.”
