ANKR technical analysis: A return of bears or just a false alarm?

The review period commenced on a bearish note as ANKR was rejected at $0.030. This downtrend led the price to reach its lowest support level within the analyzed time frame, bottoming out at $0.018 in June.
 

In a notable mid-month effort, bulls endeavored to reverse the trajectory, momentarily elevating the price above the $0.023 mark. This attempt to regain footing succumbed to selling pressure, retracing to the lowest support by mid-August.

After a minor corrective pullback below $0.054 in mid-March, another surge towards the end of the month propelled the price to retest the higher resistance level of $0.065. 

The surge in optimism during March was driven by Ankr's announcement of expanding its Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN). This was a pivotal step towards achieving a more decentralized Web 3.0 ecosystem. Additionally, the company revealed partnerships with other key network providers, further solidifying its commitment to the expansion.
 

Nevertheless, a substantial drop due to market exhaustion in April led the asset to tumble to $0.041. Following this, a slight recovery was noted to test $0.054. It was fueled by the launch of Ankr’s artificial intelligence (AI)-focused Layer 1 blockchain Neura on the public testnet. 
 

However, it wasn’t sustained as ANKR retraced its steps to the present support. At the time of writing, the altcoin was trading at $0.045, showcasing a slight recovery.
 

Building on this momentum, if the current trajectory continues with sustainable buying pressure, the bulls can likely overcome $0.054 and target the peak chart resistance next. On the upside, $0.092 can be on the cards this year. This level has not been tested since April 2022, which might lead to some pushback.
 

Nonetheless, given the emergence of bears, the price can likely experience high selling pressure in the coming weeks. If the current support breaks, it will render the trend bearish, pushing the token back to $0.030. Moreover, a break below can see the token tumble as low as $0.023, erasing all gains from Q4 2023.

• The MACD remained mostly below the signal line until October, aside from a brief surge above it in August. From October, the MACD sustained an upward trajectory. It crossed into positive territory in December, with the signal line following suit by month's end. 
• A temporary dip below the signal line occurred between late January and mid-February, but it quickly reversed, showing exponential growth. Since April, the MACD line has been seen converging, culminating in a bearish crossover in May. As the analysis concluded, it stood at 0.00522, with the signal line at 0.00588 and the histogram at -0.00065.
• The trading volume was notably low during periods dominated by bearish trends. Although it slightly increased during the late 2023 rally, it decreased thereafter. 
• From mid-February onwards, coinciding with price spikes, there was a significant uptick in volume. This dampened considerably with the latest drops. It suggested a cautious but sustained interest from buyers. 
• The Bollinger Bands began to contract in late May, following the price drop below the 20-week Moving Average (MA) earlier that month. Slight expansions were first observed in June when the price dipped slightly below the lower band.
• A noteworthy movement occurred at the end of October when the price ascended above the MA. It marginally surpassed the upper band in December, prompting another slight expansion of the bands.
